HIROSADA, Konishi. Yakusha-e. Osaka. Chuban. Xilografia a colori. 240x170 mm. Bella impressione con fori di tarlo restaurati al margine destro. Ritratto a mezzo busto di un attore che si staglia su uno sfondo nero. Pressochè identico a quello rappresentato nella stampa in cui raffigura Chinzei Hachir? Tametomo in Shimameguri tsuki no yumiharizuki (A bow-shaped moon around the islands), al teatro ?nishi di Osaka. Hirosada, attivo fra il 1819 e il 1865, fu uno degli incisori di maggior successo di Osaka durante il periodo Edo (1603-1868). Si pensa che fosse l'allievo di Kunimasu Utagawa. Tametomo in Shimameguri tsuki no yumiharizuki (A bow-shaped moon around the islands) at the ?nishi Theater, Osaka.Hirosada, fl. 1819 – 1865, was one of the most successful printmakers from Osaka during the Edo period (1603-1868). It is thought that he was the pupil of Kunimasu Utagawa. Hirosada produced many yakusha-e, or "actor prints." Depicting Kabuki scenes and famous actors, the genre's popularity peaked during Hirosada's career. His work di lui is known for his exceptionally expressive and dramatic style of of portraiture.
