Japan. Meiji period. Silver, partly punched ground and finely engraved, with gold damascening. The ewer with narrow spout and curved handle from ebony wood. In a cartouche on fine nanako ground and in relief, on both sides flowers of the four seasons and birds as well as a seascape with boat and pagodas. A small pine twig forms the handle of the lid. Height 15.5cm. Condition A/B.
