A small shaped junyao saucer dish Of circular form with foliate rim, the glaze of a light blue hue with a purple splash, thinning to a mushroom colour on each raised petal, the glaze finishing short of the foot to reveal the body. Period: Song Dynasty (960 - 1279). Diameter: 12 cm.
There is a similar saucer dish with foliate rim in the collection of the British Museum, dated to the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279), museum number 1936,1012.258.
