Double peacock ‘king john’ pattern octagonal dishes Each of compressed octagonal form, comprising one large and two smaller dishes, all decorated in famille-rose enamels, the central roundel with a brightly coloured peacock and peahen perched on a rock formation under a towering peony branch in full bloom, surrounded by a band of fleur-de-lis, the outer edge decorated with a diaper-pattern border in rouge de fer alternating with narrow blue scrolls, the bases unglazed. Period: Qianlong (1736?1795). Length: 29,5 cm and 42 cm.

CONDITION REPORT
Some wear and loss of glaze on the smaller dishes. One with a small rim chip/rim frit on front and two on the back. Large dish with small spots with glaze loss on rim.
