Large Qing Dynasty Chinese gilt bronze cloisonne enamel jar, in globular form, with wider and round shoulder tapered gracefully toward waisted prominent neck, leading to a banded rim and flat wide opening, raised on splayed foot base. Four characterized gilt Fu-bat masks flanked on the shoulder, between band of protruding knops encircling attractively above the gilt band. With four flanges everted on four corners beneath the Fu-bat masks . The exterior delicately decorated in colorful gilt cloisonne enamel with archaic dragons and phoenix patterns and variegate auspicious motifs in symmetrical patterns simulating numerous pairs of seeing eyes and taotie masks. Banded with variegate auspicious patterns and gilt bands around the rim, shoulder and foot. All sets against a turquoise-blue enamel ground. With underbase in same design cloisonne patterns against black enamel ground. The design is sophisticated, rich in color and feast to the eyes, reveals its masterpiece workmanship.
Mark on base, a four gilt script -ZhuanShu- characters mark, within a square border, QianLong Reign Period.
