Description: Three Japanese stoneware chaire, and a Karomono jarlet, with associated accessories
Comprising: an inscribed Japanese compartmented wood box with three embroidered shifuku; an inscribed wood box with a shifuku; an inscribed box with a small chaire of bunrin "apple" form, described as "Karamono" (Chinese); a ridged brown stoneware chaire, possibly Satsuma, 16th/17th-19th century, of katatsuki form, ivory cover; a dark-brown/black glazed Seto chaire of nasu "eggplant" form, 19th century, gold lacquer repair to lip, ivory cover; a black and brown-glazed Seto or Shigaraki chaire, 17th-19th century, ivory cover.
