A calligraphy scroll in ink on paper by Yu Youren (1879-1964) given to Xingru and Qinmeng. The scroll has a signature and 1 seal and is mounted on a silk backing without a dowel. Dimensions are: 54 inches tall X 12 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The calligraphy has creases and some staining, but is in otherwise good condition. Provenance: From the estate of a Silver Spring, Maryland woman whose father was Yu Jishi, a top Nationalist general and a close confidant of Chiang Kai-shek.
