A very interesting faceted baluster shape and colorful design to this covered jar. The faceted design is rare these days and not often seen. The porcelain body is faceted and heavy. There is a matching faceted lid with a rabbit finial. The designs on the faceted sides are of brocade designs, and form a complex and eye-catching pattern. The designs are painted in blue cobalt underglaze and red, green and gold over glaze enamels. The mouth and foot ring are not glazed but the base and neck are. The glaze used is thick, smooth and shiny. It feels nice to the touch. There is a hand-drawn symbol mark on the base in gold and red that looks like a cut rice stalk.MEASUREMENTS 10a€ (25.4 cm) tall x 5a€ (12.7 cm) diameter.
