Thinly hand potted porcelain dinner plate with a shallow well and wide rim. The hand-painted designs are early Ching with a banana plant, bamboo, fence, and floral rim. There are no decorations underneath. There are blue line rings on the rim edge and around the well. The white glaze has a bluish tint and has a nice smooth, thick feel. There are some small cobalt explosions in the cobalt of the banana and Lake Tai stone, and the cobalt blue color is a dark non-purple color. You can see the pottera€?s rings below the glaze. The foot ring is unglazed and has been cut. There are no hallmarks or labels.MEASUREMENTS Other one 9a€ ( 23 cm) diameter x 1a€ ( 2.5 cm) tall. Weight 13.9 oz ( 395 g)CONDITION The plate rings like a bell. The plate has no breaks and I could find any hairline cracks. There are a couple of small rim chips. There are kiln flaws of pin holes in the glaze and a flaw on the base. There are some wear marks on the inside well edge. There is an abrasion mark on one edge of the rim. This will make a nice addition to a grouping of early Chinese blue and white wares. It shows off very well.Item ID: Por-725Most likely from Kang Hsi dynasty
