Well potted and hand painted tea bowl with brass mounts.The thick glaze on the lidded tea bowl is crackled and has a nice under glaze cobalt painted design of peony scrolls. The glaze is thick, smooth, and shiny. Brass has been fitted on the bowl mouth, the lid mouth and the lid finial, and the brass is a nice darker color due to oxidization.The bowl is heavily potted. The mouth, the lid flange and the foot ring are not glazed, but the base is glazed. The foot ring is fairly smooth. The lid fits snugly on the base.The base has the six character mark of the Shunzhi emperor.MEASUREMENTS 3 ??a€ (8.9 cm) tall. 3a€ (7.6 cm) diameter.
