Description: 1895 English sterling silver centerpiece with large center bowl and 2 smaller side bowls supported by exotic winged cherubs with mermaid tails. Base of center bowl has small lion heads and there are repousse floral swags on all bowls. Sits on separate wood plinth with ball feet and dedication plaque on front ~ "Purchased by Public Subscription and Presented to Mrs. Williamson in Recognition of the Admirable Manner in which She Assisted Her Husband During the Year of His Mayoralty 1893-4". Hallmarked on base. Measures 20.5"L x 10.5"H x 11"W; plinth 19.5"L x 12.5"H. Condition: overall good condition, wear commensurate with age, see photos. Plinth missing one ball foot.
