A CHINESE EXPORT CANTON BLUE AND WHITE LANDSCAPE PORCELAIN GINGER JAR, LATE QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), the compressed conical form finial over a domed lid with figures in a bay, over an everted rim neck with flower bloom and tendril motif collar, above a baluster form body painted with scenes of the Guangzhou port in landscape including neatly laid structures, figures with fishing poles walking along a bubbling bayside among brushy auspicious trees, the setting sun or rising moon hovers over two junks approaching port accompanied by a flock of seabirds in flight, ending with a double blue ring encircling a flared foot, the interior glazed.
