At the beginning of his activities in Shanghai, he went to Hong Kong. In 1951, he resolutely returned to the north to participate in the construction of the mainland. After 1955, he was invited to teach at the Anhui Art School, concurrently served as the vice president of the Anhui Academy of Painting and was elected as the representative of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress. In his later years, he served as a professor at the Anhui Art School, the vice president of the Anhui Academy of Painting, and a representative of the Provincial People's Congress.
