Unsigned Japan, 18th- early 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
This lot consists of two unsigned ivory netsuke. One depicting Bokudo with an ox and the other Karako leaning on Hotei’s bag. Both show a fine patina.
HEIGHT 3.2 – 3.4 cm
Condition: The karako in worn condition with a deep patina. Chipping to one horn and one ear of the ox. Deep and worn patina on the back of the ox. Signs of age with a few age cracks and surface scratches. Provenance: Old Zagreb private collection.
