Japan. Edo period. 19th c. Ky?sh?. Mitsuhara attributed. Ivory with finely carved, engraved and stained details, the dark eyes inlaid horn. Mighty animal, orb can be moved freely. According to Alain Ducros, the crowns of the mane are typical for the works from Ky?sh?. Height 4.1cm. Condition A.
