Description: A TIBETO-CHINESE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF GREEN TARA 17TH CENTURY
The finely cast figure seated in lalitasana on a lotus throne, with her right leg pendant, the foot resting on a lotus blossom, lotus flowers emerging from both hands and flanking her shoulders, her body in tribhanga pose, right hand in varadamudra and left in vitarkamudra. Traces of blue pigment remain in the hair. Base plate missing.
