Depicting a grim-faced sarumawashi (monkey trainer) wearing an elaborately and typically decorated robe, holding a cane before him and with a monkey glancing to the left on his shoulder. Signed YOSHINAGA in an oval reserve to the back and with ‘chimney himotoshi’. Stunning patina, particularly to the reverse.
